Toni Collette Makes Rare Red Carpet Appearance With Daughter Sage: It Was ‘So Special’

The premiere of the highly-anticipated Juror #2 was a night to remember for star Toni Collette! The actress brought her teen daughter, Sage, along to the event on October 27 in Hollywood.

The stylish mother-daughter duo walked the red carpet together and posed for photos, sharing so many sweet moments in front of the camera.

Toni, 51, donned a black dress with floral accents along the neckline, sleeves and skirt. She wore red nail polish, the perfect fall shade, and paired the look with black boots. Sage, 16, wore a black silk dress with a lace neckline and black boots. The chic duo smiled and laughed together before heading into the TCL Chinese Theatre.

The Australia native stars in the Clint Eastwood-directed film with Nicholas Hoult, J. K. Simmons, Kiefer Sutherland and Leslie Bibb. While Clint, 94, did not attend the premiere, the cast gleefully recorded a video message for the iconic star, shouting, “We love you, Clint!” with the audience.

Toni had nothing but great things to say about working with the Academy Award-winning director on the film. She said that having Clint “as a director, which still blows my mind … but he is a truly good, solid human being. Getting to know him has been incredible.”

The Golden Globe-winning actress also shared a photo from the event with her daughter on her Instagram account.

“The premiere of #Juror2movie was so special last night,” she captioned a selfie with Sage. “The best part about it was sharing it all with my darling daughter, Sage.”

One person wrote, “omg toni! when did she grow up???” underneath the post, while another said, “She’s absolutely beautiful! She looks so like you! So glad you both had a wonderful time.”

Toni shares Sage and son Arlo with Dave Galafassi. The mom of two previously opened up about balancing her Hollywood career and motherhood at home with her two kids.

“I think I have enough self-awareness to do whatever comes along. I don’t feel like it’s a balancing act at work,” the Little Miss Sunshine actress told Time in June 2018. “But I don’t know — I’ve never had a plan and I still don’t. I’m talking around the idea of directing, and just happy being a mom and spending time with my kids. We’re planning a road trip this summer. I haven’t really been to the South of your country, so I’m excited to meet some people, listen to some music, eat some food, swim in some rivers.”

And while Toni is a horror icon, she once revealed that her kids had not yet seen one of her biggest films, The Sixth Sense.

“There’s no way in the world my kids have seen The Sixth Sense,” she told People in August 2017. “It would scare the s–t of them.”

While she said they would “eventually” see it, Toni added, “There are very few films my kids can watch that I’ve done!”
