Tim Tebow Expecting 1st Child With Wife Demi-Leigh Tebow: They’re ‘Excited’ for Baby No. 1
Tim Tebow excitedly announced that he is going to be a dad! The former NFL star and his wife, Demi-Leigh Tebow, are expecting their first child together.
“We are just so excited and so over the moon to be having a baby together,” Demi-Leigh, 29, told People in an interview published on Tuesday, January 14.
Tim, 37, said that he is “honored for the privilege of getting the responsibility and the joy of being mom and dad.”
The couple got married in 2020 after meeting two years prior. Tim shared a memorable tribute to his bride on their first wedding anniversary in 2021.
“A year ago today, this is the moment my life changed forever. After years of prayer, God gave me you @DemiTebow,” he wrote on Instagram in January 2021. “I’m so grateful you’re in my life, that you chose me, and that we get this lifetime alongside eachother. I love you so much Demi, and as I did the day we got married, I promise I’ll do my best to uphold 1 Corinthians 13:7– ‘Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.’ Happy anniversary baby!”
Now, the former Miss Universe gushed over her journey to motherhood.
“I’m so grateful because I just couldn’t imagine a better life partner to do life with first and foremost,” she told the outlet. “To be able to raise a little tiny human being together. I’m so grateful that Tim is my husband … that we get to do parenting together.”
The pair are both equally thrilled to become parents, with Tim saying that his wife “is going to be a fierce defender and protector” of their child.
“She will be extremely loyal and loving. Demi is someone that is extremely determined,” the college football commentator lovingly said. “When she sets her mind to something, she goes all the way in — and I know that she will do that as a mom, too.”
And so far, Demi-Leigh has enjoyed every moment of her pregnancy.
“I have loved being pregnant … I have gained the absolute just new respect for moms, especially moms that are working,” she said, adding that she is “gracious” and is focused on “knowing that this is the most important thing that my body can do right now.”
Tim and Demi-Leigh shared a video on Instagram for their baby announcement, wearing white outfits and debuting her baby bump. In the comments section of the post, fans were buzzing over their exciting baby news.
“Yessss yall are gonna be incredible parents!!!” surfer Bethany Hamilton commented on the post.
Sarah Rose Summers Combs wrote, “Little miracle is so blessed to have you two as his/her parents.”
“I couldn’t think of a better couple to have a baby, you both are gonna be remarkable parents,” another person said, while another commenter said, “AH!!! Congratulations to such a beautiful couple who I know will be an AMAZING parents! That’s one BLESSED child!”
