Tamron Hall Explains How She Deals With Mommy Shaming Ahead of Talk Show: ‘Embracing the Advice’

The premiere of her new talk show is just days away from airing and Tamron Hall already has a few topics in mind that she wants to talk about. The former Today cohost revealed she is looking forward to chatting about her new journey through motherhood — including how to deal with mommy shaming.

“I am embracing the advice and the wisdom and the love and support from other parents, because they outnumber the shamers,” the 48-year-old beauty — whose show is set to premiere on Monday, September 9 — told to People.

Tamron has been quite vocal about dealing with mommy shamers, who have plagued her Instagram with rude comments since she welcomed son Moses back in April with husband Steven Greener. In July, for instance, she called out a hater who criticized her for being a working mom.

“I am so sick of this. Can’t wait to discuss 9/9/19,” she captioned a screenshot of a comment on her page that read “your poor baby must miss you” after sharing behind-the-scenes photos from the TV show tapings. “This mom shame lameness is so corny and toxic. [For your information], my ‘poor baby’ is right here with me and when he’s not he is in the loving arms of dad, granny, nanny … yes I have a wonderful woman who helps me.”

The former NBC News correspondent also brought attention to the fact that women get disgraced for receiving extra help and support when it comes to raising a baby. “My mom had her sisters and other women help her too. No shame in women helping women. Knock it off with this nonsense,” she insisted. “Let’s talk about it @tamronhallshow. Oh and don’t call this a ‘rant’ from Tamron. It’s a reply and one I would say face to face.”
