Prince Harry Reportedly Feels ‘Powerless’ Amid All The Negativity Surrounding Meghan Markle

We guess Prince Harry isn’t Meghan Markle‘s knight in shining armor after all — but can you blame him? The Duke of Sussex reportedly feels “powerless” amid all the royal drama surrounding his pregnant wife.

From rumors of a feud with Kate Middleton to reports her private secretary, Samantha Cohen, left her job because Meg was too demanding, it’s no wonder the newlyweds are feeling overwhelmed. “It has put pressure on her relationship with Harry. He’s very frustrated with how little can be done,” a source told Us Weekly. “Keeping her away from the negativity and harm has been hard for him. It’s been his purpose in their relationship to keep her away from the negativity.”

For the past few months, they’ve both mainly been dealing with the drama surrounding Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle. The 37-year-old’s estranged dad spoke out earlier this week in an interview with Daily Mail and shared he’s still having trouble getting in touch with his daughter, seven months after their wedding. “I’ve pleaded with her to pick up the phone,” the 74-year-old claimed. “I wrote her a two-page letter and sent it by certified mail via her representative in LA. I asked her why she was believing the lies. I even hand-delivered a letter to Doria asking her why our daughter won’t speak to me.”

Over the summer during the heat of this rift, a source exclusively told Closer Weekly that Harry, 34, was doing all he could to protect her. “He has been comforting her,” a royal insider shared in August. “He tells his wife not to worry and that her family’s actions are no reflection on her.”

Here’s hoping all the drama dies down that way Harry, Meg, and baby No. 1 can start fresh at Frogmore Cottage in the spring!
