Morgan Freeman is Unhurt After His Plane Makes Emergency Landing - Closer Weekly

Talk about a close call!

Morgan Freeman is recuperating today after his private plane made an emergency landing on Saturday, Dec. 5 en route from the actor’s home in Clarksdale, Miss. to Houston, where the 78-year-old is shooting his new series, The Story of God.

“Sometimes things don’t go as planned and a tire blew on take-off, which caused other problems,” Morgan said in a statement obtained by E! News. “But thanks to my excellent pilot Jimmy Hobson, we landed safely without a scratch.”

“I cannot say the same about my plane,” he continued. “I appreciate the concern and prayers for our safety.”
