Michael Douglas Holds Granddaughter Lua on His Lap in Sweet Snap — See the Pic!
Never too busy to be a grandfather! Michael Douglas is obviously quite close with his only grandchild, Lua Izzy, and an adorable photo was recently shared on social media that shows him sharing a sweet moment with his baby granddaughter.
Catherine Zeta-Jones, who has been married to the actor, 74, since 2000, took to Instagram to show her fans just how much Grandpa Michael is all about his 12-month-old granddaughter. In the photo, the Wall Street star is sitting down and rocking what looks like a very flashy dress shirt, all while Lua sits on his lap wearing a dress and a big pink flower on her head. “Lua at lunch,” Catherine, 49, captioned the post. The little girl is actually the daughter of Michael’s oldest child, 40-year-old, Cameron Douglas, and his girlfriend, Viviane Thibes. The Oscar winner seems like he wants to spend as much time with Lua as possible, especially since he missed her birth due to the fact that he was out of the country with his wife and his two other kids, Dylan, 18, and Carys, 15.
Michael has always been about his family, especially his kids since they’ve always been alright with his career and all the travel he has had to do. “I had to be in California for three-and-a-half months, and I missed some of their school events,” he once confessed. “I appreciate their understanding.”The Kominsky Method star added, “The joy of my marriage with Catherine and having our children at a point in my life when my career had developed allowed me much more time to enjoy my family, as opposed to earlier on in my life.”
And now, Kirk Douglas‘s son balances everything out. “I choose when I want to work, when I want to spend time with my family, when I want to play golf,” he said in a past interview. “It’s all in perspective.”
