Michael Bublé Opens Up About His ‘Beautiful’ Life Now After His Son Noah’s Cancer

Two years ago, Michael Bublé went through every parent’s worse nightmare. The singer’s son, Noah, was diagnosed with liver cancer at just three years old and he and his wife Luisana Lopilato put everything on hold for nearly two years while their little boy underwent cancer treatment in the United States. But now, thankfully, little Noah is doing well and Michael is getting back to work — and in a new interview with Mirror, he revealed how his son’s illness helped give him a new outlook on life, and how he balances his career and fatherhood.

“My job takes me all around the world, but I’ll never put the ego of the job ahead of my family. It’s the reason I’ve been gone for a couple of years. There was never a choice [when Noah got ill],” the 43-year-old told the Mirror. “And now, as I sit here talking to you, my son is here in the hotel, having lunch, and we’ll soon be playing football. I moved all the furniture out of our hotel suite, so it’s just two goals.”

Michael also revealed that his family is what makes him most happy, from kissing his kids — he and Luisana also share two-year-old son Elias and two-month-old daughter Vida — to being a thoughtful husband for his wife. Now, Michael places emphasis on spending time with his family and now he truly appreciates his life as a husband, father, and a performer.

“Honestly, what a beautiful life it is for me,” he said. “I thought I might never make music again. I knew if I came back into this world it would have to be bliss. And it is. If it wasn’t, I wouldn’t be here. For two hours a night, you can forget how tough and cynical the world is and just dance with me. To me, that’s true joy.”
