LOL!Melissa Etheridge’s Kids Joke That She Could Have Used Brad Pitt as Her Sperm Donor

It looks like Melissa Etheridge is revealing her little secret! During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, the songstress opened up about how she once “considered” asking good friend Brad Pitt to be her sperm donor.

“My children are like, ‘I could have had Brad Pitt as a father!'” the 57-year-old hilariously admitted to Andy, 50, during the April 11 episode of the talk show. “I’m like, ‘No … ‘” Melissa dished to the Bravo host that, while Brad didn’t father the kids — daughter Bailey Jean, 22, and son Beckett, 20 — musician David Crosby, 77,  did. The “I’m the Only One” singer said adult children — whom she shares with ex-partner Julie Cypher — often joke about what life would be like if Brad was their dad.

So what happened? Well, Melissa went on to explain that even though the World War Z star is “a very good friend of mine,” their close relationship ultimately ended up being the reason why it wouldn’t work out. “It just seemed like, really complicated,” Melissa admitted. “Like, super complicated.”

The “Come to My Window” crooner first opened up about Brad’s possible sperm donation in March 2016. Melissa even explained her decision for not going forward with it. “I looked and I saw how badly he wanted children and I thought, ‘I don’t want to share this with someone who really, badly wants children because my children don’t need another parent — they have two,'” she revealed.

As she predicted, Brad, 55, ended up both having and adopting children — he’s the proud dad to Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 10 — with ex-wife Angelina Jolie. Melissa also became the mom to two more kiddos upon welcoming 12-year-old twins, daughter Jonnie Rose and son Miller Steve, into the world with her ex-wife Tammy Lynn Michaels.

Although she never became coparents with pal Brad, Melissa is still loving being a mom to her big brood. When she is home from tour or on a break from work, the blonde beauty revealed that she loves spending time with them “I have a puzzle table set up in the middle of my house, so whatever my kids are doing, I’m aware of it,” Melissa dished to Working Mother in November 2015. “I just sit there and do my puzzle and listen. They see me, so I’m not hovering over them, but I’m catching everything that’s going on. That’s probably my favorite thing.” Aww!
