Culture Clash Is Reportedly To Blame For Meghan Markle’s ‘Say-It-As-You-See-It’ Mentality

There has been a gloomy storm cloud over Kensington Palace lately as many try to crack the code on what could be the reason for all the alleged drama. Insiders recently revealed to People that the cause of the feuding between Meghan MarkleKate Middleton, and royal aides could be linked to a culture clash.

“The palace is a magical place, and it is also a place where all you hear is ‘no, no, no,’” a source said of the rules that govern the royal life. Royal aides “might not be used to the ‘say-it-as-you-see-it’ American mentality,” the insider dished while referring to Meghan, 37.

And the culture clash is allegedly getting in the way of things, including Meg and Kate’s friendship. “The most difficult job in the royal family is to work with Meghan’s ambitions and make them realizable,” the source admitted. “She will get frustrated if she is told, ‘You can’t do this or can’t do that.’”

Kate, 36, supposedly differs in that aspect considering she “has maneuvered herself in a different way, but she is still strong,” the source added. However, is the culture clash really to blame for the two Duchesses not seeing eye-to-eye?

Apparently, it’s also the difference between their personalities that has been causing a rift in their royal relationship. A family friend recently told People that Meghan and Kate are “very different characters.” Perhaps this is why there have been rumors of the former Suits actress getting into tiffs with her sister-in-law and royal palace aides.

“Wives do change the dynamic, and [Harry and Prince William] both have very strong wives,” a palace insider told the outlet. “If you bring two independent-minded women from the real world into the royal world, they are going to want to have an impact.”

However, the source did compare one trait that Kate and Meg both have — strength. “An ordinary woman is not going to get to become a princess. There is a necessary strength of character and ambition and single-mindedness. It takes someone really strong. That is Kate and Meghan.”
