Meghan Markle’s Friends Confess Her Half-Siblings Samantha and Thomas Jr. ‘Were Not a Part of Her Life’
Though Meghan Markle‘s two half-siblings, Samantha Markle and Thomas Markle Jr., have been extremely vocal in the press about their relationship with the Duchess of Sussex ever since she married Prince Harry back in May 2018, those closest to Meghan, 37, have revealed that Samantha, 54, and Thomas Jr., 53, were previously “never part of her life.”

“They have been made to appear as siblings who had this falling out, and that’s not the truth at all,” one of Meghan’s longtime friends told People in a new interview. “They were not a part of her life.”

Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, welcomed kids Samantha and Thomas Jr. with his first wife, Roslyn Loveless, during their marriage from 1964 until 1975. Following their divorce, Thomas, 74, married his second wife, Doria Ragland, in 1979 and they welcomed daughter Meghan in 1981 before divorcing in the late 1980s.
Today, Meghan and her father have a strained relationship. In the past, Thomas has publicly spoken out about trying to get in touch with his famous daughter following her royal wedding and said he’s been unable to reach her. But, according to the duchess’ friends, “He knows how to get in touch with her. He’s never called; he’s never texted. It’s super-painful.”
After Meghan’s friends spoke out about her life today, Samantha allegedly took to Twitter to slam the People article and called the story “bulls–t” and “fake news.” According to the Daily Mail, Samantha wrote on her private Twitter account, “#PeopleMagazine this article is total bulls–t there are plenty of text messages and receipts to prove otherwise. Stop the PR crap #Fake News.” She continued, “‘Sources say’ means imaginary sources … And if the narcissist is wealthy they pay very expensive PR teams to change the way people see you.”
Earlier this week, Samantha also allegedly tweeted, “I don’t think people understand. Dad gave her everything and was amazing and very nurturing to her all the way up until she announced the engagement. She is the one who turned for no reason.”
