Meghan Markle Reportedly Finds Some Royal Protocol Rules “Difficult to Understand”

She’s still learning! According to a new report, Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle continues to find some royal protocol rules “difficult to understand” months after marrying Prince Harry.

“[She] has found certain rules in the royal household difficult to understand, like the fact that the Queen prefers women in dresses or skirts rather than trouser suits, and is often asking Harry why things have to be done in a certain way,” a royal source told People.

“I think she finds it a little frustrating at times, but this is her new life, and she has to deal with it,” the insider added.

Prior to her May 19 royal wedding to Harry, 33, Meghan “spent months preparing to be his wife,” an insider previously told Life & Style. “She doesn’t want to ruffle any royal feathers. She wants to be ready for her new position and master all the ins and outs of what it takes to be a royal,” the source added of Meg’s pre-wedding royal prep.

Though Meghan has also been instructed to become more aware of security risks, she’s been adjusting to her new life just fine. “She’s getting used to being more guarded, but she’s such a fun and open person that it can be difficult,” the insider added. “She knows there are some things she just has to sacrifice, and she’s OK with that.”

“She’s 100 percent committed to [Harry],” the source continued. “Meghan’s really ready to take on all the responsibilities that come with being part of the royal family.”
