Meghan Markle Is Planning to Bring Baby Archie to New York City This Summer

Where royal dreams are made of? Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s first child, Archie, has already met notable people in his very young life, but he may soon be meeting more folks in New York City!

The 37-year-old mom is “planning on coming to the states” with her baby boy, a royal insider tells Us Weekly, adding that their destination will “most likely” be New York City. That wouldn’t come as a shocker, as it is the same place that the Duchess of Sussex celebrated her baby shower in February — an event that ruffled some feathers.

“As of now, the plan is for this to take place some time over the summer,” the source adds. “She’ll see her mom [Doria Ragland] and friends.” Archie’s planned trip to the Big Apple may not be the only stop he makes, as his mom is also considering bringing him to her birth place.

“For Meghan, it’s just as important for Archie to learn about her family history as it is for him to learn about his royal ancestors,” another insider recently told the outlet. “So she plans to go on a trip to Los Angeles with him once she’s comfortable taking him on a plane.” The source also explained why this would be important to the former actress.

“Meghan likes to do things her way. She’s a very strong woman who wants to use her role to modernize the monarchy, which is one of the reasons she and Harry decided to reject a title for Archie,” they revealed. “[She and Harry] want their son to lead a normal life.”

For now, it seems like the newest royal will continue to hang out in the UK, but the bright lights, Broadway and the city that never sleeps awaits his arrival in the very near future.
