Attention all Little House on the Prairie fans!

According to [The Hollywood Reporter](https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/little-house-prairie-movie-lands-859422?facebook20160126)_, a movie based on the hit NBC show — which ran from 1974 to 1983 and told the story of a family living on a Minnesota farm during the late 1800s — is in the works at Paramount Pictures.

The TV series — loosely based on Laura Ingalls Wilder‘s best-selling Little House children’s books — starred Melissa Gilbert as Laura Ingalls Wilder, Karen Grassle as Caroline Ingalls, Alison Arngrim as Nellie Oleson and the late Michael Landon as Charles Ingalls.

No further details on the upcoming Little House on the Prairie film have been released at this time.

After Little House on the Prairie, Melissa starred in movies The Miracle Worker and The Diary of Anne Frank and on TV shows Stand by Your Man and Sweet Justice. She also recently competed on Season 14 of Dancing With the Stars.

Karen has since appeared in films including Harry's War, Wyatt Earp, Tales of Everyday Magic, and My Greatest Teacher.

In addition to her starring role on Little House on the Prairie, Melissa is known for acting in movies Midnight Offerings, Happy Birthday to Me, and in the ABC Afterschool Special, Which Mother Is Mine?.

Lindsay Greenbush (Carrie Ingalls)

Lindsay shared her Little House on the Prairie role with her identical twin, Sidney Greenbush. After the show ended, the actress appeared on an episode of Matt Houston and starred in several commercials with her sister. Lindsey eventually retired from acting to instead focus on her education.

Matthew Laborteaux (Albert Quinn Ingalls)

In addition to Little House on the Prairie, Matthew starred on TV shows The Red Hand Gang and Whiz Kids and appeared in several television movies. He's also known for his work as a voice actor.

Like Lindsey and Sidney Greenbush, Wendi shared her Little House on the Prairie role with her twin sister, Brenda Greenbush. After starring on the beloved show, Wendi and Brenda appeared in one commercial before both leaving Hollywood.

After rising to fame playing Nellie on Little House on the Prairie, Alison guest-starred on TV shows The Love Boat and Fantasy Island.

Michael was most known for his TV roles on Bonanza, Little House on the Prairie, and Highway to Heaven. He sadly died from pancreatic cancer at age 54 in July 1991.
