Now that the weather outside is getting warmer in most parts of the country, people are heading out to take in the sun — and that’s exactly what Katie Holmes did recently.

The 40-year-old took to New York City recently with a pal, looking fantastic. The actress was spotted smiling, all while rocking quite the printed navy blue dress, matched with a burgundy purse. It should come as no surprise that Katie was seen showing her pearly whites — she has been getting wooed by fellow actor Jamie Foxx for some time now, and is finally all about it.

“Katie and Jamie are officially a couple,” an insider exclusively revealed to Closer Weekly. “Katie was so happy to finally embrace her relationship with Jamie. It was a great feeling for Katie to be out in the open, not having to hide their years-long romance any longer. This is a great sign of things to come.” So sweet!

The Dawson Creek alum has been seen out in public quite a bit lately — she made an appearance at the American Ballet Theatre 2019 Spring Gala at the Metropolitan Opera House in NYC on Sunday, May 20.

“[Being a gala co-chair] means a lot to me because I’m a huge fan of the American Ballet Theatre and I know what goes into being a dancer and a ballerina,” Katie gushed to Avenue in 2017. “I am very excited to support … I have such great respect. You can’t fake it as a dance.”

The Batman Begins costar was also at the Met Gala earlier in the month with her man, 51. Katie wore a beautiful gown made by her best friend and fashion designer, Zac Posen. On the other hand, the Oscar winner went the classic black suit route.

Katie has reportedly been with Jamie since 2013, but she was previously married to Tom Cruise. The pair had one child together, daughter, Suri Cruise. The ex-couple split in 2012 after six years.

While Katie and the Top Gun actor, 56, are quite successful, their only child is very humble. “Suri is a great kid,” a source who has worked with the mother-of-one told Us Weekly.

“She is so sweet and well-mannered. She’s extremely polite and respectful. She’s just a good girl who is a joy to be around. Katie has done things right with her because she’s very grounded and down to earth. She doesn’t come across as spoiled or like a celebrity kid at all. She’s kind and she always shows gratitude.”
