So Relatable! John Legend And Chrissy Teigen Talk About Napping On The Emmys Red Carpet

Parents night out! John Legend and Chrissy Teigen showed up to the Emmys Red Carpet looking oh-so-chic in a Zuhair Murad dress and Gucci suit — and we’d expect nothing less, tbh. The cute couple, who share kiddos Luna and Miles together, took the night off to chat to E!’s Giuliana Rancic about Chrissy’s name, John’s EGOT, and… napping?

“So big date night for you guys — what are you going to do after the show?” Giuliana asked the couple, to which Chrissy candidly replied, “We’re thinking about napping.” Remember that time she fell asleep at the Oscars? Yeah… us either!

“We’re like, ‘Let’s take a nap,'” John chimed in, before adding, “After we’re done maybe take a nap and then go to the Governor’s Ball party. We’re parents now, we nap.”

“But I feel like if I fall asleep, I won’t go back out,” Chrissy said before her hubby quipped, “We might just go home!”

John won a Creative Arts Emmy award for Outstanding Variety Special for rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar, which made him the first African American man to ever reach EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony award winner) status.

Prior to the big event, John told Variety, “We were really proud of what we did, and when you accomplish it as a big group like we were, with the producers, the cast, the crew, everybody, it feels extra special. And for that to be the final thing I needed for the EGOT is even better.” Sounds like he could use a nap!
