Jennifer Garner Dips Her Toe ‘Back Into The Dating Pool’ With New Mystery Man

See ya later, Ben Affleck — don’t let the door hit you on the way out! A source has revealed to Life & Style that Jennifer Garner recently went on her first date since splitting from Ben in 2015. The best part? It was “with a handsome former pro football player.” You go, girl! 

“Jen has quietly dipped her toe back into the dating pool,” added a longtime friend of the actress. Other reports have suggested that Jen is also getting cozy with her Camping co-star Arturo Del Puerto. Hmmm, perhaps she’s pulling a little bit of a juggling act? 

In case you missed it, the mother-of-three has filed court documents to speed up her divorce from the Justice League star. Her hope is that she can officially be single by the end of the year. “Her kids come first and she’ll always love Ben,” the friend noted, “but it’s time Jen began moving on with her life.”

Honestly, we don’t think anyone will blame her. After all, Jen has been incredibly supportive of her ex over these past few months. From literally driving Ben to his third stint in rehab to warning him against getting too serious with his reported ex-girlfriend, Shauna Sexton, the 46-year-old has done nothing but put her former flame’s well-being ahead of her own. 

Now that Ben has successfully completed rehab and is focusing hard on his sobriety, Jennifer can hopefully put herself first. That said, it seems as if the A-list pair will always have a strong connection — no matter who the other is dating. “They’re good friends. They both want what’s best for the kids and have made a commitment to see that through,” an insider previously told Us Weekly.
