AwwKate Middleton Gushes About How 1-Year-Old Son Prince Louis Is ‘Keeping Us on Our Toes’

Royal baby Prince Louis celebrated his first birthday with his parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William, on April 23 — and according to his mama he’s already surprising them in so many ways.

“I turned around the other day and he was at the top of the slide — I had no idea!” the duchess recently gushed during a royal outing to a World War II code-breaking center in London, according to People. “[He’s] keeping us on our toes.”

Although Kate didn’t necessary say that her youngest child is already walking around on his own, she did admit in January that he’s “a fast crawler” already. “Louis just wants to pull himself up all the time. He has got these little walkers and is bombing around in them,” the duchess told a few moms at the Henry Fawcett Children’s Centre on Tuesday, March 12.

Royal fan Finesse also told some reporters at the event what it was like to meet the Duchess of Cambridge in person. “She was just lovely, really down to earth. I never thought she would come down and sit with us, but she did,” Finesse said. “She just wanted to chat about what it was like to be a mum. She said that we all had our ups and downs as parents, regardless of who we are.”

As a mother-of-three, Kate has apparently been giving her sister-in-law Meghan Markle a lot of tips about raising kids in the royal family. According to Life & Style, she has been teaching Meghan about “balancing royal life with being a mom.” Since the insider notes that “Kate is a pro at motherhood,” she doesn’t mind giving Meghan advice “on what lies ahead.”

Now that baby Archie is born, Prince Louis can have a little playmate — other than siblings Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince George, 5 — who is closer to him in age!
