Will Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi Have a Baby? See Everything They’ve Said About Wanting Kids!

"I think I would. But that's not enough to have kids," Ellen previously said during a Today show interview. "I love kids. But that's such a big commitment. And it seems long-term. And I just don't know if I can — it's too risky."

"We talked about it for a minute, about four years into the relationship, but we just decided we like our conversations not being interrupted and our furniture without sticky grape juice on it," Ellen said of choosing not to have a baby with Portia.

Ellen once said she'd have a hard time having her own children because she meets so many extraordinary kids on The Ellen Show. "I'm gonna compare it to all these kids that I have on this show that are so smart and so funny. And I'm like, 'You are nowhere near these kids I had on today,'" she admitted.

"Our priorities are each other, too. If we had kids, then I'm sure they would be, but we are. And that's important," Ellen said of her relationship with wife Portia.

Ellen has also admitted that her and Portia's fame would make life difficult for any children they would have. "[They] have to share their parents with the world," she said.

Portia has also spoken out about having children. "There comes some pressure in your mid-30s, and you think, 'Am I going to have kids so I don’t miss out on something that other people really seem to love? Or is it that I really genuinely want to do this with my whole heart?' I didn’t feel that my response was ‘yes’ to the latter," she once told Out magazine.

"You have to really want to have kids, and neither of us did. So it’s just going to be me and Ellen and no babies — but we’re the best of friends and married life is blissful, it really is. I’ve never been happier than I am right now," Portia continued.

So, will Ellen and Portia welcome any kids in the future? Only time will tell!
