Bryan Adams Surprises Fans With Performance At ‘Pretty Woman’ Musical — Watch!

Sometimes you get what you pay for. And sometimes you get a heck of a lot more.

On Jan. 3, the crowd at the Nederlander Theatre in NYC, who were there to see the Pretty Woman musical, got quite the surprise when Canadian singer Bryan Adams hit the stage to perform. The 59-year-old was introduced as “making his Broadway debut.” And what a debut it was as Bryan performed the show’s romantic ballad, “You and I.”

The “All for Love” singer co-wrote music for the stage adaptation of the classic 1990 Julia Roberts movie. In fact, Julia herself has already seen the show, as she attended a special performance early last year to honor the movie’s director, the late Garry Marshall.

As for Bryan, “You and I” wasn’t the only song he performed while on stage, as the show’s cast joined him to sing the more upbeat song, “Together Forever.” Bryan, who has had numerous hits from Summer of 69 to (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, also once found himself on the royal radar. For years there have been rumors that the singer had an affair with none other than Princess Diana. Last summer, Andy Cohen grilled Bryan on his show Watch What Happens Live.

“There are many rumors that you and Princess Diana were once romantically involved,” Andy said to Bryan. “Her butler said that he used to sneak you into Kensington Palace. How would you characterize your relationship with Princess Diana?” Bryan said, “Great friends. And she didn’t sneak me in, I would just roll up.” Andy then followed up with the question, “Friends with benefits?” to which Bryan responded, “Um, she was just… we were good friends.”

Well it’s pretty clear Bryan wanted to keep that one close to his chest. For now, you all can still go see Pretty Woman: the Musical, and hope Bryan makes another cameo.
